The
idea of CAREfest is simple. Churches and individuals
get together, partner with local community groups, and serve
in practical ways. It’s about living-out God’s love for
people in practical ways.

The idea for CAREfest started in Little Rock,
Arkansas through some churches that wanted to unite with
others in a visible demonstration of God’s love for their
community. The concept spread to other churches all around
to other cities. The idea inspired one local church in our
area to try it out. They named it CAREfest because
real caring means real action. The first year they did it by
themselves to learn how to do multiple projects and mobilize
the kinds of teams necessary. The response both within the
church and from the community was amazing. Now in its 7th
year, CAREfest brings together multiple churches, community
agencies and hundreds of volunteers doing dozens of projects
to make our community a better place. Local businesses get
involved, too, as friends and partners through donations of
materials and reduced prices!
-
It’s about . . . BEING “good news” in our
community.
-
It’s about . . . partnering with schools and
community serving groups.
-
It’s about . . . being “living proof of a
loving God to a watching world” and developing
a LIFESTYLE of serving in Christ’s name, not just for a
weekend blitz.
CAREfest
is a faith-based community outreach event where churches,
ministry groups and individuals in the Snohomish, Lake
Stevens, Granite Falls, Monroe and surrounding
areas can share God's LOVE through serving our communities.
